Andy Griffith Playhouse

The Andy Griffith Playhouse is located in the renovated auditorium of the old Rockford Street Elementary School. It features the same stage where a young Andy Griffith made his first appearance, singing a song in the school's talent show. The Surry Arts Council owns and operates the playhouse. It is home to several entertainment opportunities from plays to music events throughout the year.
