The restaurant rotates daily specials, such as chicken pie, spaghetti, vegetable beef soup and cube steak — all served with sides of your choice. Particular favorites include homemade chicken salad and fried catfish. As one of 11 stops on the Surry Ground Steak Trail, Central Cafe serves the local delicacy daily. Made from boiling ground beef and then adding flour, salt and pepper, the loose-meat mixture is served on a bun, Texas toast or a plate. Desserts are homemade and also change daily.
