Nelson Acres Park

Located on 116 acres, Nelson Acres Park has a beautifully wooded trail, disc golf course and primitive campsites. While building the trail, the primary focus was to create a recreational pathway through the woods without affecting the environment surrounding it. The trail is 3.1 miles long, and a cut-through path is available for those who would like a shorter walk. Information on the trail is available at the parking lot of Nelson Acres. The 18-hole disc golf course weaves in and out of the woods and surrounding fields.

There are also five primitive camping sites available for rent within Nelson Acres. The park is adjacent to Armfield Civic Center, which offers a fitness facility, indoor pool, playground, picnic shelter and paved walking track.
