Yadkin Valley Fiber Center

The Yadkin Valley Fiber Center in downtown Elkin offers classes and instruction in fiber arts - crafts such as weaving, spinning, felting and fiber-based sculpture.

Local and visiting artists lead the instruction. Additionally, the center is the only site in the United States to offer the Olds College Master Weaving Program , and hosts numerous fiber-related guild meetings. While the center’s focus is weaving, the second floor of The Foothills Arts Center is open to any student of the fiber arts with an interest in cultivating their craft within its walls.

In addition to being a full teaching space , the Yadkin Valley Fiber Center provides studio loom rentals and has a range of fiber materials and Schacht equipment for sale.
