The Martha Bassett Show - Kenny Roby, Joyner Horn & Queen Bees
Event
Roots rock/alt-country/Americana pioneer Kenny Roby, a 35-plus-year veteran of the music business and scene, has been making records and performing on stages since his days as a youth growing up in South Carolina.
Joyner Horn is an actress, singer and 2023 graduate of London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art. Joyner has starred in a variety of operatic productions across the country, and she was the 2019 winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions North Carolina District.
Queen Bees is a musical collaboration between three North Carolina-based musicians: award-winning musician and journalist Molly McGinn; renowned electronic music producer and songwriter Quilla; and esteemed musician and creative producer Kate Musselwhite Tobey.
The Martha Bassett Show is modeled on old-time radio shows with a hint of the modern. It draws on influences from far and wide, but maintains the distinct feel and flair of North Carolina's Piedmont region. Host Martha Bassett has been making music in NC and beyond for more than 20 years.
