Seasons of Surry - Summer Cool Down

Calling all wine lovers to spend a summer weekend in the beautiful Yadkin Valley, cooling off with a selection of slushies and sangrias.
Sponsored by the Surry Wineries group, the weekend includes stops at four wineries. Each ticket holder will be assigned to a starting winery where he or she will receive a souvenir glass and map. At each participating winery, tasters receive a specialty slushy or sangria paired with a light bite.
Participants may select to purchase tickets for Aug. 3-4 or Aug. 10-11. A ticket is good for both days on the selected weekend, one visit per winery. Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $28 per person.
Winery lineup and menu, Aug. 10-11:
- Elkin Creek Vineyard – sangria paired with pinwheels with sriracha aioli drizzle
- Haze Gray Vineyards – piña colada slushy paired with teriyaki chicken skewer with pineapple
- Hidden Vineyard – Chill/Tank slushy paired with cheesecake bite
- Shelton Vineyards – mango slushy paired with a mini grilled peach Bibb salad
